Emil Tan lead the Angry Birds with two assists overcoming the Goal Diggers 3-1 yesterday

Emil Tan dishes two assists allowing the Angry Birds to win over the Goal Diggers 3-1 yesterday afternoon. After losing their opening match against the Fighting Macaroons, the Birds showed that their determination to win even with the absence of their key player, Rigor Alamar.

The Birds lead the match with a breakaway goal from Stephen Villejo at 5:32 past Nic Angeles, who saved 8 out of 11 shots in the match. Diggers Carl de Guzman equalized the match 1-1 at 8:56 in the first half, with a great centering feed from Miguel Urbano.

Emil Tan then started to open up the game for the Birds as he made an assist to Carlo Selabao, who scored his debut goal of the League at 3:35 in the second half. As the Diggers hustled to get back in the match, Tan dumped the ball straight at Angeles, who failed to secure the save allowing Bullet Ribaya to tip the ball in, ensuring their victory.

The Birds will go up head-to-head with the SBS on November 26, Saturday, at 12:30pm while the Goal Diggers will go up against the League leaders, AIA Lions, at 12:00pm.
