After teaming up in the 2nd Floorball Fiesta as Angry Macaroons, the Angry Birds and the Fighting Macaroons met last Saturday afternoon as rivals. The Birds' undefeated record since the last season was ended by the Fighting Macs.

Martin Reyes made a hat-trick goal leading the Macs to a convincing 4-1 win. Jomax Bagasao, who missed a lot of games last season, returned and added one goal defeating the disappointed Birds.

The Macs easily passed by the defense of the Birds due to the absence of their former team captain, Rigor Alamar, who is a catalyst of their defense and game opening. The Birds were helpless as they tried to stop the fast and quick offensive plays by the Macs lead by Reyes and Bagasao scoring two goals at 3:19 and 9:57 of the first half, respectively.

Martin Reyes scored his second single-handled goal of the game in the middle of the last half (15:06). Birds' goalkeeper, Fra Silva, was not able to stop Reyes' hat-trick goal as he scored just within two-minutes.

The Birds' defense was not at their best as Silva was forced to save 8 out of 12 shots by the Macs. With the Macs leading the match, Emil Tan scored a consolation goal with almost two-minutes left at the match. Please see the match statistics for more details.

The Fighting Macaroons will face AIA Lions next Saturday at 12PM while the Angry Birds will go up against the Goal Diggers at 12:30PM.
