Lions trample SBS, 6-0

Athletes in Action showed no mercy for SBS as Jay Futalan, Brian Vogel, Gerome Vivar, and Diony Hipolito led their team to a whooping 6-0 victory.

Four goals were made during the first half. The first being Futalan’s shot at 2:36. Only seconds later after the first AIA point (2:46), Vogel scored another goal with an assist from Futalan. Vogel continued earning goals for his team at 6:18 assisted by Futalan, and at 8:43.

In the second half, Vivar made a successful shot at 14:40; and only less than a minute before the game ended, goalkeeper-turned-field player, Hipolito scored another goal at 19:17.

Even with the absence of scoring machines from the previous games, Marco Ortiz and Ralph Ramos; AIA Lions offense proved effective and defense, impenetrable. Despite saving 9 shots, Lou Diaz and the rest of the SBS defense did not succeed in creating a solid defense owing mainly to their lack of players.

Now that both teams have completed the first round, watch out for the second round matches in the UP Floorball League next year.
