Fighting Macaroons' Jeffrey Castro leads his team to victory; Diggers' Redbert Maines tries but runs up short, 1-2.

In a fierce clash of teams, the match started with both teams matching each other’s strikes. Jomax Bagasao and Jeffrey Castro lead the offense of the Macaroons, while Redbert Maines and Carl de Guzman gear up the Diggers’ attack. The latter struck first, 3 minutes into the 1st period, with a quick shot from Redbert Maines. Fortifying their defenses, the Macaroons prevented any further goals from the Diggers.

The Macaroons were able to catch up with the Diggers with their first goal 2 minutes into the goal, courtesy of Paolo Garcia assisted by Jeffrey Castro. Boosted, the Macaroons took up a great offensive, playing the ball within the boundaries of the Diggers. In response, the Diggers toughen up with their goalkeeper Alfie Gutierrez preventing any attempt of the Macaroons to score.

The game almost ended with a draw if not for Jeffrey Castro’s goal. Breaking the Digger’s wall of defense, he successfully scored around 8 minutes past the second period. The battlefield became more intense as the Macaroons’ goalkeeper Perry Buhat stalled the Diggers’ goal attempts. The victory was then gifted to the Macaroons, securing their position in the 3rd place for the first half of the League.
