Los Toros was able to evade a loss by default against the Fighting Macaroons as it acquired Goal Diggers captain, Nic Angeles at the last minute. Two goals from Luis Manila and one from Saldio Amador, and a strong defense ensured their 3-0 victory against the Macaroons.

Man of the match, Saldio Amador scored his third goal of the season about two minutes into the match with an assist from returning Toros player, Myk Villanueva, opening the match at 1-0. Within just two minutes after the first goal (3:49), Manila’s successful shot against Macaroons defense with the aid of Amador’s assist followed. The last goal by the Los Toros was made with just four seconds left in the first half by Manila who was assisted by their rookie player, JV Hernandez.

With only six players present, the Fighting Macaroons failed to recover against the newly-modified Los Toros lineup.

Besides the winning feat, the issue of Angeles’ last-minute transfer was raised in this match. Approval of the transfer was questioned by several concerns such as its last-minute nature. Thus, the Executive committee shall review the rules of transfer to design specific rules addressing issues such as this.
