In a narrow finish, Team Sixxy boomerangs the Boomslangs at the 5th day of the UP Floorball League Season 3. The match started slow, with both teams gaining equal possession of the ball. At the second half of the first period, Sixxy started to dominate the game with aid of a power play situation due to a high stick penalty by Carlis Gazzingan. Joshua Paunil managed to exploit the situation after scoring a power play goal against Myk Villanueva at the 7th minute. Two minutes later, Spencer Cheng accomplished the goal that would put his team up by two.
Heated up, the Boomslangs try to retake the game, starting the second period with an 11:35 goal from Sweethart Baz assisted by Tata Cabillas. A continous assault of goal attempts were then made by the Boomslang's offenses, but were thwarted by the Sixxy’s defense. At 17:20 mark, Cheng, with the assist of Paunil, scores another goal for the team after a huge scrambling for the ball near the goalkeeper’s area. In retaliation, Tata Cabillas scored goal for the Boomslangs at 19:30. However, with 30 seconds left, the Boomslangs were not able to score again, leaving the victory to Team Sixxy.
Eric Gelido saved eight attempts from the Boomslangs while Myk Villanueva protected the goal four times in the first half and Royce Corrige who replaced Villanueva contributed a lone save in the latter half.
