It was a David vs Goliath match for the Blue Fire Sparks against the Blades of 4ury who remain undefeated so far in the 3rd season of UP Floorball League. The Blue Fire Sparks are riding from a 5-0 win against the Mighty 300, however can they repeat their impressive performance against the power house duo that is Luis Manila and Marco Ortiz?
Things started off early for the Blades of 4ury as Marco Ortiz drew goal at the 0:12 mark for an early goal for his team. Little did anyone know that he was just getting started. He then scored another goal at the 1:20 mark from a fine pass from Dan Abroguena, Blades of 4ury leading by 2-0 at this point. The defense of the Blue Fire Sparks tried to find an answer to stop the offensive barrage but Marco Ortiz scored yet another goal at the 2:06 mark to complete a hat trick, possibly the fastest hat trick in the league so far. Blades of 4ury 3 – Blue Fire Sparks 0. The Blue Fire Sparks seemed lacking in the offensive side for the first half as they only had 2 shots on goal. Though with a deficit of 3 goals to nil facing them they quickly tightened their defense and allowed no more goals for the remaining of the half.
What came next, no one saw coming.
Luis Manila kicked off the second half with a goal at the 11:31 mark to bring the score up to 4-0. Not yet finished with scoring Marco Ortiz scored yet another goal at the 12:32 mark to bring up his goal tally to 4 and making the score 5-0. Luis Manila not wanting to also earn his hat trick, scored yet again at the 13:05 mark this time from a pass by Rob Alba. Luis Manila finally got his own hat trick at the 13:46 to bring up the score 7-0. At this point the game was pretty much set though the players of Blue Fire Sparks still tried their best to score a goal with several close attempts at goal. Though the Blades of 4ury weren’t done yet with the Blue Fire Sparks. Marco Ortiz from a pass by Luis Manila scored yet again at the 14:16 mark adding woe to the Blue Fire Sparks’ misery.
