Sparks shine over Sixxy

The Blue Fire Sparks won 2 - 0 against Sixxy, neutralizing their recent defeat in an earlier game against Superfly.
The beginning of the game was met with airtight defenses on both sides of the field, the two teams running back and forth in a constant change of ball possession. Both teams notably keeping each other away from any comfortable shooting angles. 5:07 into the game, Sparks' forward Yeyel Cachero delivered the first goal with an assist from teammate Jomax Bagasao. Sixxy on the other hand, struggled with their offensive as even forwards Flo Magboo, Joshua Paunil and Spencer Cheng received difficulty getting the ball up court. Struggles to gain control of the ball continued between the teams, with several of each team's players crowding around the ball, furiously trying to gain possession. Despite Sixxy's defensive fortitude however, the Sparks' Yeyel Cachero once more made a successful goal (assisted by Jomax Bagasao) on the 8:07 mark, putting them up 2 to nil and closing the first half with a comfortable lead.

The second half presented a much brighter Sixxy, the team having kept the ball up their offensive side for extended periods, effectively keeping the Sparks' offensive at bay while giving themselves several shots at the goal. Sixxy however, was still unable to score as all of their shot attempts were denied by the Sparks, most notably by their keeper Nate Tarcelo, who is on a roll with seven saves for the second half. The rest of the game lingered as it was and neither team was able to score for the whole second half thus spelling victory for the Blue Fire Sparks with a score of 2 - 0.

The teams' goalkeepers received minimal activity during the first half, the majority of the defense being taken care of their field counterparts. Sixxy's Tristan Estigoy made 2 saves for the first half while the Blue Fire Sparks's Nate Tarcelo collected 3. The second half, having been the offensive spotlight of Sixxy, had several shot attempts thrown towards the Sparks, gaining Tarcelo a total of seven saves for the second half. Tristan Estigoy (Sixxy) accumulated a total of 4 saves for the whole game, paling against Nate Tarcelo's 10 .
